Al Dente
Ceramic Shoulder Wax
2 x 8 g
53°C / 127,4°F
Which technician working with ceramics hasn’t encountered this problem? Parts of the ceramic shoulder break off when lifting the crown from the die. Some systems try to
solve this problem by a mixture of ceramic powder and wax. Using this method the ceramic is not sufficiently compressed resulting in porosities and poor fitting of the ceramic shoulders.
Our solution:
The shoulder mass is applied and compressed in a proven way. Only after this process you apply the ceramic shoulder wax by al dente onto the ceramic shoulder. The ceramic shoulder is stabi lized by the wax layer applied and can be taken off the die without any risk. Thereby an optimal fit is reached and the ceramic shoulder does not
contain any porosities. The purely organic ceramic shoulder wax by al dente presents a low point of building drops, diffuses easily into the ceramic mass and burns without leaving residues (minimum firing temperature 780°C).
Instructions for processing:
• Before firing the ceramic shoulder the die is insulated with a ceramic separating fluid for porcelain, then the shoulder mass can be applied as usual.
• Once the shoulder mass is compressed and dried, apply the ceramic shoulder wax economically with a hot sculpturing instrument.
• For the wax to diffuse completely into the dried ceramic mass, the die is to be warmed evenly with a dryer. After the coping has cooled down, it can be taken off the die with out any danger of breaking.
• The coping is now fired as usual. The result: An excellent ceramic mass.
