Description:
Concentrate for disinfection and cleaning in immersion bathes with and without ultrasound. For general and surgical medical instruments and especially for rotating dental instruments (drills, cutters, polishers, root canal instruments) and endoscopes. Removes blood, proteins, saliva as well as residuals of tissue and bone. Suitable for stainless steel, steel and hard – also diamond-studded, plastics, ceramics. Not suitable for aluminum & light metal alloys.
Application and dosage:
Dosage & exposure time: Disinfection confirmed by medical opinions for immersion into aqu. soln. of 2% at room temp. after 15 min: fungicidal, bactericidal (incl. tbc.); virucidal (limited effect according to RKI, i.e. it applies for enveloped viruses like HCV, HIV, HBV). After 5 min: fungicidal, viruzidal (limited acc. to RKI), bactericidal (excl. TBC). Cleaning: 20-70°C, fresh residuals of blood & proteins clean below 42°C. After disinfection and also after cleaning rinse with running water.
Safety recommendations:
EC 55 is classified as hazardous according to the regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 [GHS] (skin corrosive and serious eye damage, acutely toxic: harmful, specific target organ toxicant (repeated exposure), corrosive to metals [aluminium and light metals], hazardous to the aquatic environment). Observe also with respect to this the hints indicated in the Safety Data Sheet and always handle chemicals with care.
Physical-chemical characterisation:
Density: 1.01-1.02 g/ml. pH ~11.5 in original state. Ingredients according to Annex VII A, EC-Regulation 648/2004 (detergents): 5-15% non-ionic surfactants, <5% phosphonates, disinfectants, perfumes. The surfactants meet the criteria for biodegradation as laid down in Annex III of EC-Regulation No 648/2004 on detergents. Disinf. ingredients in 100g: 12.6g trialkylethoxyammoniumpropionate, 14g tert. alkylamine.
Disposal:
The used 2% solution can be fed into the sewage system; check the contamination contained and observe local pH and sewage regulations. The concentrate has to be disposed of as special waste according to official regulations. European waste code: 07 06 01*, „aqueous washing liquids and mother liquors“; 16 10 03*, „aqueous concentrates containing dangerous substances“; 15 01 10*, „packaging containing residues of or contaminated by dangerous substances“.
Volumes, storage and transport:
Available volumes: 1 litre PE-bottle. Store only tightly closed original container at a temperature between 0°C and +35°C and at a ventilated place, protected from heat and direct solar radiation. Do not store together with food, animal feedstuffs, strong acids and oxidizing agents. Keep under lock and key or accessible only to specialists or people authorized by them. Shelf life: 3 years from date of production (see stamp on label). Classification for all means of transport: class 8, UN 1903.
